Those answers help us to determine if there is a fit with you and Long’s. Please give attention to a few areas we frequently find incomplete information on applications. If you will do that, we can give you more serious consideration.
1. Please be sure to put an amount per hour figure on the “Salary Requirements” line. Please don’t put “Negotiable” or “Going Rate.” We won’t try to trick you into putting a low figure and only pay that amount. We need to know what you are able to “get by” on. If we are a “fit” here, then we can continue. We hope that we can exceed your needs.
2. Please give us phone numbers for your previous employers. We need people who are willing to tell us about your work history and habits, and to verify information on your application.
3. Please be sure to give us phone numbers for your additional references, so we can contact them too.
4. Feel free to give us “additional information” in the space provided. We want to know anything that will help us place you, even things you may not think are important. As you might guess, there are things we do that you may not be aware of in running our company and providing service to our clients.
5. A résumé is welcome, but we still want our application filled out, to be sure we get needed information in the correct order.
